Conditions of Service: NJC for Local Government Services

                                    Term Time only (7 ½ hours)

Point Range: 6-13   

JOB PURPOSE

Assisting at table, supporting individual children with their lunchtime routine, general classroom duties, toileting and playground duty. Under the direct supervision of the teacher, HLTA or Grade 3 TA.

OUTLINE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

Assist at an appropriate level with the provision of general care and welfare of children including:

1. Assist with feeding at the lunchtime table
2. Assistance with the personal hygiene routine, e.g. toilet training, changing of any children, dressing and undressing;
3. The changing of soiled clothing including its disposal in an appropriate way;
4. Assisting with the identification and monitoring of children’s general health and welfare.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

No specific qualification required. However, you will be encouraged to achieve a recognised qualification and support will be offered for you to do this whilst at Fort Royal.
