This weeks Flyer
As I mentioned in the last newsletter, we were unfortunately not able to recruit for all the posts we needed at the last round of interviews. On top of this, with the cold and flu season now fully established, we do not always have the staff available to cover every class to full capacity.
Our main priority is always to ensure that all classes remain open and functioning safely. To do this, we sometimes have to make very difficult decisions on a daily basis. For example, we have occasionally needed to cancel high staff ratio activities such as hydrotherapy, swimming, and horse riding at short notice for safety reasons. We know this can be disappointing, and we really appreciate your understanding and support.
We will be holding interviews again in a few weeks, but in the meantime, if you have any friends or family members who might be interested in working at our school, please encourage them to visit our website for details of current vacancies.
Looking ahead, we will update you on Christmas activities in a few weeks’ time. Before then, we have a visit from the Local Authority’s Quality Assurance and Standards Team on Monday. They will be visiting classes and meeting senior leaders and subject leads. On Friday 28th November, we will also be welcoming our Governors for their annual Governors’ Day. Governors will be visiting classrooms and meeting staff and pupils, with a particular focus on how we are supporting pupils to achieve their EHCP targets.
Thank you, as always, for your continued patience and understanding.

Class 5 have been busy exploring colourful fireworks.
They have read a variety of poems and explored the theme through sensory play.
The children have also used their ideas in movement, making firework-inspired actions with their bodies.
This term, we are diving into stories from imaginary worlds in Literacy, exploring Sir Charlie Stinky Socks through writing, props, and role play, and planning a magical party. In maths, children will strengthen addition and subtraction skills and explore measures and fractions through fun, practical activities. Our topic work will investigate light and dark, shadows and reflections, while creating potions, lava lamps, and themed decorations. In PSHECC, we’ll focus on discussing kindness, inclusion, and how to respond in different situations.
